QUICK LIT BITE OF THE DAY
Hallie Quinn Brown-was a African American writer, educator, and activist. She was one of the founders of the Colored Woman's League of Washington, D.C., which in 1894 merged into the National Association of Colored Women. Some of her published works include; "Homespun Heroines and Other Women of Distinction" (1926), and "Bits and Odds: A Choice Selection of Recitations" (1880).
