Fabulous, fantastic, and interesting are what literature truly represents! Here are some "quick lit bites" to get you motivated and inspired to read, write, and immerse yourself in literature.
QUICK LIT BITE OF THE DAY!
*Character Sketching*
A character sketch is a short written description introducing the reader to a character in a story. This is often one of the first writing exercises taught in English classes. Strong characters give the reader a reason to stay interested in your story. Learning how to write a character sketch is the first step towards great creative writing.
Developing your characters before hand will enable your creative abilities to take the story to another level. As you move forward with your character sketch think about; the name of your character, physical description, likes and dislikes, any interesting relationships the character may have, geographical location, strengths and weeknesses of the character, and what makes the charcater different such as high or low pitch voice, and or disablilities.
All of these things and more can help when developing your characters for your next story. Happy character sketching!
