Flash Fiction! Self-Esteem

Self-Esteem is life altering, mind taking, conscience misbehaving and self spinning out of control. It closes in on your life like the walls of a psychiatric ward. It hounds you like a hurricane manifesting into something bad or out of control. Your self-esteem can be a sore that never heals and continues to be an open wound. It will bleed and bleed and bleed until you decide to do something about the ugly of it. To so many people it’s a life altering beast that takes and takes until you say that’s enough. The roughness, the ugliness, and true vibe of self-esteem will haunt, eat, and take over your mind until you say that’s enough. What is it about this beast that continues to plague so many of us in this society? What is it about ourselves that we let such a beast win us over that we never have the will or the power or the force to fight it? When you stand face to face with self-esteem it allows you to see the bad and the potential you have inside. It allows you to face all fears and love yourself. Fighting the beast of self-esteem is up to the individual. For people that do fight the beast they see their true selves. For people that let the beast of self-esteem take them down, they have succumbed and give up to the manifestation of the beast of self-esteem.
